High Park Toronto, ON

Here it is Friday and I am ending my first blog post week of October. I can’t say it has been a prolific week but it has been interesting and I have garnered a few ‘followers’ and a few ‘likes’.

The Wrap-up

  •  The Art of Reading brought me comments from two Australian authors: Vicki Tyley and Diana Hockley – thank you both.
  • Jo Nesbo’s Cockroaches will be available in English in November which completes the translation of the entire Harry Hole series.
  • Who is Tom Johansen? None other than the nom de plume of aforementioned Nesbo who will be writing two books for Harvill Secker. The first titled: Blood on Snow is to be released in the fall of 2014 followed by a second release in spring 2015 (working title Blood on Snow 2.)

Brief list of crime fiction released this week:

Art of Deception – A. J. Cross
Inherit the Dead – Lee Child, CJ Box, Charlaine Harris, John Connolly
The Double – George Pelecanos
Storm Front – John Sanford
The Sixth Soul – Mark Roberts
A Tap on the Window – Linwood Barclay
The Weeping Girl – Hakan Nesser

It is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and for many it is a weekend of gratitude. For those who have little please consider sharing. Happy Thanksgiving!

– June Lorraine
