Just finished Rick Mofina’s Vengeance Road which is the first book of the Jack Gannon series.
While loathe to admit that I wasn’t familiar with Mofina’s work, I immediately felt I had to do something about that. I was not disappointed.
Briefly:
Reporter Jack Gannon was a Pulitzer Prize nominee while at the Buffalo Sentinel and even 10-years on that should have been enough credibility to sustain his work. A missing woman and a murdered prostitute bring him up against a decorated detective and his paper’s publisher. Things began to go wrong and his career begins a downward trajectory.
Gannon is onto something big and when the leads all begin to connect he is in a race to save his career and stop a murderer.
