The Unhanged Arthur Award is for unpublished work. In addition to a cash prize, the winner of this award will have his or her work evaluated and critiqued by an editor at Dundurn Press.
The Crime Writers of Canada has also added an eighth prize to their list of awards this year. The CWC Grand Master Award for Crime Writing in Canada will go to a Canadian crime writer with a substantial body of work that has garnered national and international recognition. This year the award will go to Howard Engel, author of the award-winning Benny Cooperman detective series.
The winners of the 2014 Arthur Ellis Awards will be announced at an awards gala held on June 5 at the Arts and Letters Club in Toronto.

Hi Kristina, just read your blog post about the night before the short list came out. I can’t begin to imagine!
And now you must wait for gala on June 5th. I would be there but will be flying from Cape Town to London on that evening.
