  1. I just adore mysteries with authentic local color. Any recommendations that might offer a tour of South Africa?

    • Hi Barbara, only managed a quick stop into a bookstore in Pretoria and unfortunately the staff there were not knowledgeable about the genre however one charming young lady was very helpful and checked online for a list of recommended reading from the newspaper.

      I picked up three CF authors to try and as Deon Meyers seemed a popular choice by the number of books displayed, I grabbed one of his. He writes in Afrikaans but has been translated into many languages. The other two authors are Paul Mendelson and Angela Makholwa. I’m looking forward to digging in.
