Stinking Rich: Tornado in a bottle

Stinking richDelightfully outlandish and wickedly outrageous

An outhouse, airplane and RV. A bright-eyed granny, stalwart ticket agent and mountain man. What have they all in common? They are all delicious side-dishes to a menu of wayward misfits, societal cast-offs and the vainly unscrupulous who appear in this debut book by Toronto author Rob Brunet.

The recipe is as follows: take one Libido motorcycle gang member named Perko with an entrepreneurial grow-op, add the hired stoner caretaker Danny Grant, carefully blend in the rest of the motorcycle gang, add a dollop of police, and a pinch of missing money. Dust liberally with Murphy’s Law and there you have it.

Is it possible for romance to blossom among all this? Of course it is! And as we race to the conclusion with myriad characters intersecting in delightfully toothsome ways, we are loath for this dish to be empty.

You owe it to yourself to have a bit of fun so if dark humour is your crime cup of tea, then this is the one with which to end the meal. Fans of Tim Dorsey will understand completely.
