Family of crime
Sheriff of duty
Dark. Immersive . Violent . Compelling
Bull Mountain in northern Georgia is the kingdom of the Burroughs family and Hal sits comfortably on his throne. They are a vicious lot, running their criminal enterprise in ruthless patterns of violence. Dealing mainly in meth and marijuana, they rule the mountain and the surrounding area.
Nearby Sheriff Clayton Burroughs struggles to maintain an identity separate from his family and his brother Hal. His decision to become sheriff is just one more way that he has deeply disappointed his kin. A recent shoot-out with law enforcement creates a deep untenable rage in Hal. It’s an uneasy and volatile situation.
ATF Agent Holly comes to Sheriff Clayton with a proposal. Talk you brother Hal into closing down operations and the government won’t move against them. It’s a poison deal.

Thanks so much!
You’re welcome
I lived in a commune on a seventy-five acre pot farm in the North Georgia Mountains and helped unload the Polk County Pot Plane, made famous by the movie of the same name, in my hippie days. I’d likely enjoy this one. Ha!
You are so funny!
I was intrigued by this book when I first heard about it last fall. Did you like it?
Yes, I did very much. I was a tad disappointed in the last few pages but overall I thought it was excellent.
