C.J. TUDOR: The Chalk Man

The Chalk Man, C.J. Tudor, MurderInCommon.com, June Lorraine RobertsChalk Figures

Stalking horse

Five young friends discover the dismembered body of a girl in 1986. The path to her remains, was drawn by someone using the chalk figures code which the friends devised to communicate with each other.

Eddie Adams stayed in Anderbury, while some of his friends moved on. He lives alone and drinks a bit. When the chalk figures reappear in 2016 he wonders if he’s lost his mind. The return to town, then disappearance of one of these friends has Eddie spiraling.

The Chalk Man is well paced and a good read. That C.J. Tudor manages to imbue a sense of unease while you read this book, makes it all the more interesting.

  1. Sounds like a good one, June……I’ m thinking of asking Pierre for it when I need some new books. I haven’t asked him to do that since we started on the audiobook as there’s a bit more work in it. We’ve had some terrible weather lately, but it’s far worse in Chateauguay. Don’t take your lovely warm weather for granted, June.
