Yukon Safe

A place only rumored about. A place of safety for the good and the bad. A place called Rockton.

Casey Duncan is a homicide detective with an act of murder in her past. Now the mobster family of her victim is on her trail. To add to that, her best friend Diana needs to escape a severely abusive husband. There is only one choice.

To get them both into Rockton, Duncan has to make a deal. Accept Diana, and she will do a six month stint as a detective for the town. The offer is accepted, but the Sheriff is damn tough to take.

A killer is on the loose and he and his deputy have their hands full keeping everything contained. City of the Lost is dark and haunting, and a bit of a romance all in one.

Definitely different from what I normally recommend, but Kelley Armstrong is a good writer who kept my interest.
