Today’s Story
As the news director for a New York TV station, Clare Carlson is years away from her role as a newspaper journalist. She misses it from time to time, the place where she won her Pulitzer Prize for the story of Lucy, missing at 11-years old.
Fifteen years later there is a new lead and as always, Lucy’s mother Annette Devlin is hot on it’s heels. Lucy was seen all those years ago at a motorcycle meet-up. She rode off with Elliott Grayson, the man currently running for state senator.
There’s a reason why Carlson won a Pulitzer, she is instinctive, strong and focused. Knowing that Annette is terminally ill brings a renewed sense of urgency.
Yesterday’s News by R. G Belsky is a well paced book with new details slipped in at you sideways. Great read.
