Maggie Carpenter is strong woman with a daughter missing from the site of a plane crash. Her attempts to keep the pain inside where it belongs, and her determination to understand what happened is intense.

Being estranged from Allison for 2-years doesn’t bring her answers, and the coldness of the parents of her daughter’s fiancee, don’t help her move forward.

On the mountains Allison is running for her life. Whom would they send to find and kill her. Wounded in the crash she is ill prepared for a trip to safety. The hundreds of miles she must travel are more than physical. They are a journey home.
