A.J. Devlin: Rolling Thunder

The Split-Lip Sallies are roller derby queens. But their coach Lawrence is missing and Stormy Daze (AKA Stephanie Danielson) hires Jed Ounstead to find him.

To do so he enters into a world of fetish clubs, dachshund racing, and blackmail. There will be violence.

At the Emerald Shillelagh, Ounstead’s cousin Declan pours a great Guinness and is always on-hand to help out for shits and giggles. A hard man like that is going to be needed.

There is a man though, attired in a grey suit and strangely, wearing a bowler hat and carrying an umbrella. Ounstead sees him every now and again watching him. Who is he and why is he stalking Ounstead?

Get yourself ready for another entertaining read with the second “Hammerhead” Jed Mystery. It’s the kind of book we need right now.

  1. Re: Rolling Thunder, the bowler-hatted, umbrella-carrying man sounds really out of place in this world. Your review of the book made me want to pick it up and start reading right now!

  2. This sounds fun–if only for the dachshund racing, but there’s so much more. I’m going to take a break from blogging and do some reading. This is one I will seek out. I’ll let you know how much I like it. Thanks.
