PI Dave Wakeland is minding his own business when chaos breaks outside his office window.
Masked, gun wielding raiders are coming out of a building across the street. It’s a heist of some type and they don’t hesitate to shoot the pedestrians on the sidewalk as they move to their van.
Wakeland takes the fire escape from his office window and gives first aid as best he can. He’s hailed a hero, but not to the police. As the more he denies seeing anything the more pissed they get.
This event doesn’t have the signature of any organized crime group or individuals that could be looking for a score, and that’s puzzling to Wakeland. But he does everything he can not to become involved.
Meantime, bodies are turning up with crushed hands. And just who is the woman in the green coat that’s following him?
Hell and Gone is Sam Wiebe’s best writing to date and a great book. Highly recommended reading and an author you should add to your reading list.
Available now in Canada, and for pre-order in the United States.

It’s great to come across someone who knows Sam’s writing. Thanks for dropping by, and shouldn’t I have a DRC of your book Why Was Rachel Murdered? 🙂

I like Sam Wiebe’s work, and Dave Wakeland as a character. So it’s good to hear that this one lives up to his standard. It sounds like a nicely-paced thriller, too. Glad you enjoyed it!
