Victoria Weisfeld: Architect of Courage

“He wasn’t on easy terms with betrayal – not enough practice. Nor was he clever with lies and excuses.”

Archer Landis – successful architect, married man.

Slipping away from an industry dinner he finds Julia, the woman he’s in love with, murdered in her apartment. He’s devasted but does nothing. How could he report the murder without harm to his family and himself?

The resulting investigation reveals that Julia Fernandez is really Alia Said and her fingerprints are on file with the FBI for reasons unclear to the detectives.

Then, shortly Julia/Alia’s murder, shots are fired into the Landis office from outside the building. What in hell is going on?

Vicki and I have been email and online friends for years. I remember encouraging her to attend a Noir at The Bar event which I believe she enjoyed. She’s written several short stories for notable magazines, and now today we have her debut novel. I’m thrilled for her.
