Jason Beech: Breaking Point

“My momma always said when poverty worms through your door, love jumps out the window.”

From the first get go, Jason Beech gets our attention in this book of Crime Stories.

Starting with Marley Anderson in Breaking Point, a man hiding in a cabin in the deep woods. Marley did some killing and it’s now revenge with the McTaverns on the hunt.

A Detour brings us travel on a bus and a casual conversation, with a deadly objective.

A hitter does a coin toss to determine if the subject lives or dies in The Toss. ” I must snuff Cantero like a candle…” Best two out of three?

More great noir stories await the reader, some bluntly open, some a fever dream. I’d honestly say this is some of Beech’s best work. Highly recommended.
