Back in November I mentioned the Write Across Ontario contest featuring opportunities for students in grades 5-6 to complete a murder mystery story started by Kevin Sylvester.

Meghan Butcher, from A.R. Kaufman P.S. in Kitchener, has taken first place for her story: Madison Smart and the Broad Street Baker. Happiest congratulations Meghan!

From Ottawa Citizen journalist Ian MacLeod comes this great interview with crime fiction author Rick Mofina.

And a bit of a surprise for the Private Eye Writers of America when they awarded Alaric Hunt the Best First Novel as reported by the Mirror.
