Judy Penz Sheluk: The Hanged Man’s Noose

Judy Penz Sheluk July 2015, murderincommon.com

Canadian debut author

Judy Penz Sheluk has written extensively on her blog about her journey into the publishing world. It’s her way to help authors who like her, have to do much, if not all, themselves.

She disclosed her path with such honesty, angst and enthusiasm you couldn’t help but be right along-side her as she faced the challenges and rewards.

Her readiness extends to interviews with other crime fiction writers, providing them with coverage and a forum to discuss their work. Adding to that she also gives valuable tips on everything from copyright and galley proofs, to how to prepare for and conduct yourself at a book signing. How she finds time for two 9-hole golf leagues amazes me.

The Hanged Mans Noose by Judy Penz Sheluk, Book Review Murder In Common

The Hanged Man’s Noose

In the first book of A Glass Dolphin Mystery series journalist Emily Garland moves to a small town at her editors request. A huge development may be built that will convert an old schoolhouse in Lount’s Landing to a big box enterprise. The locals aren’t happy.

It’s a solid debut novel and while not ‘noir’ in nature as my usual reads there is plenty in the way of chicanery, murder and cloaked agendas.

Keep your eyes on Judy, she’ll be writing more for you.
