Jennifer Soosar: Parent Teacher Association

Parent teacher association, murder in common, jennifer soosar, june lorraine robertsStrange assembly

A good book to mark the return of the school year, the debut novel Parent Teacher Association by Jennifer Soosar.

Lizanne Demeter returns to the teaching world after some time in a mental institution. She is grateful for the chance at Splinter Wood Elementary.

With new medication in her pocket and determined to succeed, Lizanne creates admirable lesson plans and moves classroom furniture for optimum impact.

Her desire to be the best teacher isn’t easy. An extreme helicopter mom and a creepy maintenance man have her jittery, and the death of a child in the schoolyard has her spinning. Something isn’t right at Splinter Wood and Lizanne isn’t sure if it’s her or someone else.
