Melissa Scrivner Love: Lola

Gal next door

Lola is one capable woman. Smart enough, that everyone believes her boyfriend Garcia heads the Crenshaw Six. She has the ruthless intelligence to lead from behind.

The Six are a small gang who’ve carved out a niche in their South Central LA neighbourhood. They come up against forces darker than themselves when events have the Mexican cartel make contact.

Lola pushes aside the shadow of Garcia to stand before them. She negotiates an impossible deal, steal a rival’s drugs and their money. If she succeeds she lives.

In this race against time, Lola knows she is also heading for a deadline to death. An excellent debut from Melissa Scrivner Love.
