Everything old is new again
Available July 2nd, 2019
Detective Alan Auhl has a house full of people. His daughter, people seeking shelter, some just renting a room, and his estranged wife who drops in overnight during her demanding her travel schedule.
Since his return to the department, he’s on cold cases and subject to the barbs of his younger co-workers. He deals.
John Elphick’s daughters call Auhl every year about the murder of their father. As it’s his new remit, he decides to go back to the beginning of the cold case and start over.
But it’s the unusual case of Dr. Neills that gets under Auhl’s skin. He’s murdered two wives and now, his new girlfriend is dead.
Well paced, involved plot and good characters. Under the Cold Bright Lights by Garry Disher is the whole package for me.
