Rex Constanzo lives a dull family life. It’s work, home, sleep, work… ad nauseum. That is until the day he’s sees Max Adams. The guy who made his life a living hell in high school.
So begins an interesting take on the release of long-buried trauma. A deftly handled story, A Trail of Blood on the Snow by Sam Lee brings you along as Constanzo descends into obsession and madness.
Evan Drake, a freelance Hollywood fixer, is asked to find a missing man. He’s the regular client of a sex trade worker and she’s concerned about him.
Drake can’t quite get a handle on things as this situation is very slippery. He’s got to dig deeper because the missing man has been found dead.
The Cassandra Trap is solid thriller with a good plot – there will be more of Evan Drake.
George is a spent and tattered insurance claims adjuster who, along with his unfortunate and irritable colleague, go to the home of a policy holder to assess the damage for a claim.
What ensues is a reckless adventure with Russian and Ukraine thugs at each other’s throat over missing bearer bonds. The guns don’t end with them however. There is some head hopping in this story but little impact overall.
Not for the reader looking for deep content, Tuesday is wacky romp and a total suspension of disbelief.
