Greg Rhyno: Who By Water

The personal stakes are raised for Dame Polara in the Greg Rhyno’s third novel Who by His Own Hand.

The reluctant Toronto sleuth is polarized when her daughter, two-year-old Rosie is abducted. Dame has no opportunity to weigh options, the skills she wanted to leave behind are now essential.

When Dame discovers a connection between her mother’s murder and the apparent suicide of a former city councillor things begin to converge

Drawing help from friends, questionable associates, and former enemies, she risks compromising the principles that ordinarily guide her.

Is this noir? No, but a great book with solid interesting characters like Dame is worth writing about. And Dame herself – she’s resourceful, imperfect, and capable of dry humour under pressure.

I reviewed Book Two in the series: Who By Water. You can Click Here to read that review.

This does sound like a really interesting cast of characters, June. And the premise is effective, too. I admit I’ve not started this series, but it sounds intriguing.

Sounds good! Is it essential to read the books in order?
