Never Look Back: Put ahead in your reading list

CWA Debut Dagger 2011:

Long listed as The Watcher

never look back, clare donoghue, crime fiction novel

Professional photographer Sarah Grainger lives in terror of her telephone ringing. She’s being stalked by someone unknown and the local police station has been less than helpful. Screwing up her courage to leave her home she approaches another station with her diary charting the calls. Will they think her crazy? Is she crazy?

Detective Inspector Mike Lockyer is in charge of the investigation into the murder of three women. It’s obvious there will be more until the killer can be stopped. His Detective Sergeant, Jane Bennett is a smart, efficient and supportive side kick.

The world of these three people come together bringing an immediate connection for the reader to the characters. Don’t let the serial killer premise keep you away as, while important, it’s really the backdrop for the interplay of developing relationships..

Sarah Donoghue has crafted a story-line of depth and interest. You’ll like it. Her second book: No Place to Die is scheduled for release in February 2015.
